What Our Guests Say

Had a fantastic dinner here! We tried the beef roast with potatoes, spaghetti Bolognese, pork schnitzel, and some local beers. Every single dish was top notch. Great portions, flavourful food, and truly satisfying comfort dishes. One thing to note: they only accept cash, so make sure you’re prepared. Euros are convenient. What I really appreciated is that they serve food till 11 PM, unlike many other places in the area that shut their kitchens much earlier. Perfect spot if you’re looking for a late, hearty meal. Highly recommended! 🍽️🍺

We had such a delicious meal the first time we went that we had to go a second time in a 4 day trip! The schnitzel and goulash were great, but we went back twice for the rump steak and the amazing peppercorn sauce it was topped with.

If you are visiting Vienna this place will not be on your list of top places to visit, but if you're in the area (like us staying in the hotel across the street) and are looking for an honest, good, no-nonsense and tasty meal, I'd recommend Dresdnerhof. My son and wife shared the Eierknockel, which is a spatzle variety and I ate a knoedel with some pork meat and the highlight of the meal: a very excellent sauerkraut. It was really good. Should you move across town for it? Nope. But if you're a couple of tram stops away, looking for a decent meal, like you are eating a home cooked meal at your German aunt, this place was pretty good. Obviously the portions are way too big, but that seems to be a Germanic thing.

What this typical local bar lacks in decor and maintenance is more than made up for by the fantastic service and the great food. The staff are super helpful and the food very tasty with a selection of traditional Austrian food and sone western favourites available. For you British out there, they serve a fantastic pot of pukka tea. My only complaint and it seems to be a Vienna thing, is way too much salt on the chips

A lovely local gem in Vienna! Dresdnerhof Café is the kind of typical neighborhood spot that’s clearly popular with locals, and it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon as a tourist staying nearby. The staff speak good English and were very welcoming. There’s a daily menu with delicious, homemade Austrian dishes. I had a menu with the soup of the day and a wiener schnitzel. it was so tasty, and the portions were generous—great value for money. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic local experience off the usual tourist path!

About Us

On the Corner since 2005

Since opening in 2005, Dresdnerhof has stood for genuine hospitality, good food, and an atmosphere that invites you to stay. What began as a traditional Viennese restaurant has evolved over the years – without ever losing its character. Today, we combine classic Viennese dishes with creative ideas and modern influences. Because we believe: a great restaurant should stay true to its roots while always being open to new inspiration. Our focus is always on the guest – or as we say: The guest is king. Whether you’re a regular from the neighborhood or visiting from abroad, everyone should feel welcome here. Together with our team, we work every day to deliver exactly that: quality, reliability, and genuine hospitality – both in the kitchen and in service. Dresdnerhof is not about big showmanship, but about real moments. Good food, good conversations, a glass of wine – and the feeling of wanting to come back.

Our aspiration is simple: you should eat better with us than at home — and feel just as welcome.
